Marie-José Jongerius: Lunar Landscapes – Maasvlakte 2
November 3, 2012 - January 13, 2013In Lunar Landscapes: Maasvlakte 2 photographer Marie-José Jongerius documents the Port of Rotterdam’s expansion project in an intriguing way. With 2,000 hectares of new land to be reclaimed from the sea, the construction of Maasvlakte 2 is one of the largest infrastructure projects in recent years. Through Jongerius’s eyes, however, it is above all an alien landscape and a world of amazement and expectation.
