Video of Held Aloft: Love in geometrical order

Project

To celebrate the reopening of the Rijksmuseum a spectacular performance took place on 14 april 2013  at the Museumplein in Amsterdam. The event is based on an idea of artist Job Koelewijn and titled Held Aloft: Love in geometrical order. In a whirling choreography, designed by mass choreographer Penny Jones, over 700 children swirl plates above their heads which show fragments of master pieces from the Rijksmuseum collection.
