Simone Kleinhout is project manager and board member at TAAK. Together with TAAK’s artists and curators, she manages different projects. She was project manager of Cure Park in 2017 and has been working on Verloren en Hervonden at the Hortus Haren since 2015. She also played an active role in the development and writing of the handbook In Opdracht, handboek kunstprojecten in de openbare ruimte for the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts. As a board member she is responsible for the business management of TAAK.
Simone is an art scientist and completed her Masters’ degree in Arts Culture and Media at the University of Groningen in 2010. During her studies and work she became increasingly interested in the role art can play in society, and her interest in art in public space grew. She worked in France at the biennale Estuaire Nantes Saint-Nazaire and in the Netherlands at SKOR | Foundation for Art and Public Domain. Since 2012 she has been a self-employed researcher, developer and organizer of art projects.
